Garbage Dot Com Ltd considers the health and safety of each of our employees to be of primary importance. We are committed to preventing the accidental loss of any of our resources including employees and physical assets.

Our objective is to conduct our business in the safest possible manner consistent with the provision of Occupational Safety and Health Act.

The management is committed to the following;

o Provide sufficient supervision, information, instruction and training to ensure the health and safety of employees and others who may be affected by our activities.

o Recognizing that good communications are paramount for ensuring safety and health, top management places a high premium on dialogue with employees.

o Protect and promote employee wellbeing and healthy living to create a healthier workplace and a healthier workforce which will also protect and enhance the image and reputation of the Company.

o All staff must wear protective gear while at work. These include overalls, gloves, safety shoes, gumboots, goggles, gasmasks, aprons, helmets.

o Regularly review and report on our occupational health and safety performance, implementing any corrective actions in respect of underperformance promptly.

o Our vehicles must be in good working condition always and are fitted with first aid kit and fire extinguishers.

o Fire extinguishers must be available in our premises and all employees should be trained on their use.

o In case of fire within our administrative office all employees should leave the building immediately and should not go back to carry or pick any personal items they may have left. Employees should assemble at the designated area away from the building for head count.

o All employees must be insured under workmen’s compensation scheme.

o All accidents/incidents should be recorded in the incident reporting book provided for corrective action to be taken to avert reoccurrence.

o Provide necessary and adequate resources to ensure the full implementation of this policy.

However, we recognize that the responsibility for health and safety are shared. All employees, subcontractors and visitors will equally be responsible for minimizing accidents within our facilities and work sites.
